July 6 = 1st Friday Fun! Comment for a chance to win!

How on earth can it be July 2018?! It feels like the year only just begun. Well, one good thing about the seasons’ speedy roll is that since it’s the first Friday of a new month already, it’s also time for another giveaway time here at evbishop.com.

This month’s giveaway: Another super fun prize celebrating summer! One lucky winner will receive a signed copy of Hook, Line & Sinker,  a soft, cheery towel to stretch out on or roll behind your head in your comfy chair, and a fabulous-dahling pineapple drinking glass (because we all need something fancy for our favorite fruity beverages!) (Yes, this is similar to last month’s giveaway, just with a different book and a new color scheme. What can I say? I really, really love pineapples, LOL.)

How to enter for your chance to win: Comment/reply to this post. Easy-peasy, right? (And fun! 😄) Super sadly, I won’t be able to respond to everyone’s comment individually because I won’t, GASP!, have Internet for most of the month, but I will enjoy each one and like them whenever I get a chance, so you’ll know you’re entered.

COMMENT SUGGESTION: Where is your favorite place to read? For me, reading is like eating green eggs and ham, I love it, I do it, wherever I am. 😄 (Beaches do have a special allure though, and couches with blankets on dark winter nights.)

(You can, of course, add anything else you want, so long as it’s appropriate for all ages. 🙂 🙂 )

WHEN DOES THIS MONTH’S GIVEAWAY CLOSE? Normally every 1st Friday Fun winner is chosen on the 15th, but I’m going to be camping around the province, so we’ll keep this one open until July 31st! Please share this post because the more that play, the merrier, right?

P.S. A huge congrats to last month’s (June 2018) lucky winner: Judy Pflueger!

P.P.S. Haven’t taken part in Friday Fun here at evbishop.com before? Here’s the nitty-gritty.

All you have to do is show up here on the first Friday of every month and follow the very easy directions, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win. At the end of each giveaway, a winner will be chosen at random and contacted for his/her mailing address and the goodies will go in the post.

Good luck and thanks for stopping in! I hope you have a very fun Friday and wish you wonderful  book adventures in July!

  1. My favorite place to read is on the front porch early in the morning with my coffee watching the sun come up especially when weather permits and I lie in bed every night and read before sleeping. Thanks for the chance

  2. Yes, Susan, always ignore dishes (all chores, actually) in favor of a good book. Reading is much more important! 🙂 Nice to “see” you again, btw. 🙂 🙂

And yes again, bedtime reading is wonderful and used to be my favorite time to indulge (although I used to “accidentally” stay up all night :D). No more–well, I still like it, but I actually fall asleep. Boooo!–so I do more day reading now.

  5. My favorite place to read are either on our covered front porch or under the two trees in our side yard. I live in my grandparents house and the trees where planted there when I was 3, so when I am out there I remember them growing.

  6. My favorite place to read is anywhere and everywhere, but if I had to choose one it would be in a bubble bath with a glass of wine and a scented candle, with a relaxing sea sound app playing on my iPad.

  10. In the colder months curled up in bed under the covers, nice and warm.
In the warmer months, anywhere in air conditioning, love the ac cool!
In between, rather partial to a flask of tea or iced tea and sitting in the shade of the huge old trees in the local park reading and escaping from the world for a bit 🙂
    Thanks Ev, enjoy your trip!

  13. My favorite place to read is in my sitting room. It has a couch and a rocking chair end tables and my dad’s antique desk. No TV just me and a room full of plants with lots of sunlight. On the weekends I go in first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee and read for hours. During the week I hit the rocker as soon as I’m home from the gym and in my pajamas with a glass of wine.

  14. I don’t like being outside with all the irritating bugs; so I love when I go to my son’s to house and pet sit. He has a screened porch that I sit in all day! Otherwise, if I’m at home, I’m in my recliner. Also take a book to Dr appointments, etc. Thanks for the chance.

  15. My favorite place to read is on my couch. It’s nice and quiet to read. I also read at Dr appointments, my daughter’s house, neighbors. I don’t leave home without my kindle.

  16. My favorite place to read is in bed on my side, so my hands don’t fall asleep from holding the book. If it’s a thriller, I may read straight through. The other favorite place is on a bench by the brook at the Nature Center where I’ve written poetry whilst watching nature at play.

  17. The bath, most definitely. Second best is at my boyfriend’s “cabin.” It’s really more of a trailer near a beach, but I’ll take it. It’s peaceful during the week or the off-season.

  19. I like to read on my couch or if it’s good weather out, out on the deck. But where I multi-task my reading, is when I arrive early for an appointment, and I always do, reading is such an enjoyable way to pass the time. And no stress or frustration about delays from the people I’m meeting. A win-win situation!

  20. My very favorite place to read is my front porch. I love waving and calling out to my neighbors as they take their early morning or evening walks, hearing the birds chirping and watching the squirrels. My next favorite place is in bed. Every. Single. Night.

  21. Anywhere and everywhere….I never leave home without my iPad or a book (or both), but in the summer I’m out under a tree and in the winter curled up in my chair with a warm throw.

  43. My favorite place to read is anywhere I can open my Kindle and have some time to see what is happening in my current book I am reading. It is a bit slower reading in the summer for me, as I do travel baseball with my son and grandson. However, my Kindle goes with me everywhere for the down times I get to read.
